Direct Community Engagement in Action!!!

Good morning!

I just want to give a quick shout-out to a member of this Patreon Community.

They engaged a coworker, and yesterday, the two of them contributed $100 to help provide the Summer Open Markets at Resource MPLS to the community! Thank you!!

That Act of Solidarity dropped the average contribution needed from $5.87 down to $5.84!! Incredible!!! That makes it that much more meaningful and accessible for all members of the community to experience the joy and satisfaction of actively participating in actions to improve the health and well-being of their communities!!

With another Act of Solidarity that came in overnight, we are now 2960 Acts of Solidarity away from unlocking the $3000 challenge match pledged by a member of this Patreon Community!

There are 158 members of this Patreon Community. If each member of this community can inspire through direct invitation 19 Acts of Solidarity, we will pass the goal to unlock that $3000 match!!!

Yes, 3000 Acts of Solidarity seems daunting, but, when we break it down, and divide the work amongst a community, it is incredibly manageable! We already have 40 Acts of Solidarity in. Let’s spend this week before everyone gets caught up in Memorial Day and Summer Vacations reaching out to our networks and inviting them to join us in support of this program and offering the resources of nourishment, community, and secure local food systems to all!!

Copy this text below and send it in a text message, an email, or in a social media post to 20 or more people.

“I invite you to join me in support of the Twin Cities Vegan Chef Collective Open Market Program. This program seeks to create real, lasting food security in the Twin Cities by harnessing the power of community solidarity to create a more secure, equitable, and sustainable local network of commerce for providing the essential resources of nourishment for all in our communities.

I am proud to be a monthly sustaining Patron of the Open Market Program offered on the first Thursday of every month at 1697 Lafond Ave. 55104. Since February, the Open Market has been expanding its reach into the Philips West Neighborhood of Minneapolis in partnership with Resource MPLS (512 East 24th St. 55404). It is this community’s goal to raise $21,000 to host three Open Markets at Resource MPLS this summer. A member of the community has pledged $3000 to help us reach that goal. It is not a traditional “dollar for dollar” match, but a “dollar for contribution” match. We are 2960 contributions away from unlocking that $3000!!!

Please, take a moment to send a small act of solidarity to the Twin Cities Vegan Chef Collective through their Venmo account: @Chef-Collective-1123, and join me in providing this resource to our neighbors.

$1, $5, $6, $10, $100, or whatever you are comfortable with. Every act of solidarity is worth $3000 right now.

If you would like to learn more about this program and why I support it, do not hesitate to reach out! Let’s catch up!

Thank you!”

There ya go. You are all set and empowered to follow the lead set by our friends at Wooden Ship and invite your networks to join you in the awesome, community-building, food justice actions you are a part of!

Thank you!!
